Are you a qualified Draughtsman with a keen eye for meticulous detail and experience in drawing heavy machinery, processing plants, or large mechanical equipment? If so, your next career move could be with us Our client, a multinational market leader renowned for delivering top-quality products, is looking to expand their Engineering team with a new Draughtsman. This is a pivotal role that will require your skills / experience in the following areas: Global Best Practices: Engineering Processes Mastery Navigate and excel in engineering processes aligned with global best practices. Uphold compliance with relevant international standards, including ISO 9001, OHS Act, MHS Act of SA, IMS policies, and procedures. Technical Prowess: Drawing to Perfection Meticulously review drawings and standards in alignment with BS308. Craft impeccable drawings in adherence to BS308 and SANS 10111. Execute tasks with precision following Drawing Office Procedure. Design Innovation: Shaping Tomorrow's Excellence Develop and maintain product-specific design and drawing information. Bring concepts to life with layouts and general arrangements. Collaborate in prototype development guided by Engineering inputs. Ensure design excellence with a focus on form, fit, and function as per relevant standards. Digital Mastery: 3D Modeling and Document Management Create accurate 3D models that embody innovation and precision. Generate manufacturing drawings and Quality Release Letters (QRLs). Uphold and manage drawing information using the Vault Document Management System. Collaborative Excellence: Team Player Mentality Perform needs analysis to continually refine and enhance processes. Extend support by addressing queries related to drawing and design information. Minimum Criteria: Draughting Certificate / Diploma or National Diploma Mechanical Engineering Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar position within a Heavy Machinery / Processing Plant / Large Mechanical Equipment environment. Advanced knowledge of 3D CAD Software such as Inventor (Preferred), Solidworks, SolidEdge, Fusion 360. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures. We'll also be looking for: Piping design experience is an advantage. Working knowledge of relevant SANS and Anglo structural design standards is an advantage. Workshop/Site experience is an advantage. Working to a high level of detail. Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Good time management. Self-motivated. Adaptability. Good health with the ability to walk around a mine site. Own transport/valid driver’s license. R40 000 CTC Hillary Myburgh
