MECHANICAL FITTER - Cape Town City Centre

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE (BUT NOT LIMITED TO): To diagnose problems and repair diesel engines and ancillary equipment. To apply troubleshooting methods, replace parts and run tests, to ensure the systems is working properly, following repairs QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The following trade tested qualifications will be considered: Mechanical Fitter/ Diesel Fitter/ Diesel Mechanic. A minimum of 5 years' experience. Must be qualified with a valid trade test certificate Must have large diesel engine overhaul experience Ability and acumen to work independently Strong mechanical background A good knowledge and strong commitment to Health and Safety processes. Sound communication skills. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND REQUIREMENTS: A team player and ability to maintain a positive attitude within the team. A can-do attitude. Be proactive and flexible, willing to work long hours. Medically fit to work on board fishing vessels. Clear criminal record.
