Reference: JHB000016-JVDW-2 We are looking for a Mechanical Service Engineer for the Port Elizabeth area. Educational & Training Requirements: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade tested Mechanical Fitter Minimum N6 A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position Experience Required: A minimum of 5 years in a similar position Above average computer skills Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience Must be able to read CAD drawings Job Requirements & Responsibilities: To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard Control Maintenance costs according to the budget Purchasing of Spares and Equipment Manage projects Liaison with suppliers Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery Must be strong on decision making and problem solving, Finding ways to improve efficiency of an operation Manage artisans with regards to performance, discipline etc. Training and development of staff Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required Dealing with all Engineering aspects within department, e.g. planned, preventative, breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts. Inherent Job Requirements: Tolerance for stress and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines. Good problem solving skills and the ability to take initiative. Ability to work independently. R50 000 - R60 000 - Monthly
