Accountabilities / Key Performance Areas Assisting Technicians in order for them to meet their deadlines Ensures jobs are completed timeously, accurately and safely. Responsibilities Performs all and or any ancillary duties required in the given work area and or job as instructed by the technician or foreman Provides general assistance to the responsible mechanic as required Performs routine machine and/or equipment assemblies when and where specialist skill sets are not required Undertakes workshop maintenance as instructed Performs tooling maintenance as instructed Operates lifting and or rigging equipment as instructed Grade 10 or technical equivalent (NQF2) Minimum 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical, workshop or mechanical environment Skills: Follows instructions Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures Good verbal communication skills in English Good housekeeping skills Characteristics: Hard working Friendly Sober habits Grade 10 or technical equivalent (NQF2) Minimum 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a technical, workshop or mechanical environment
