But if you're hungry to build a varied and meaningful career in a community of brilliant and diverse minds to make a real difference, there's only one choice . // The Medical Lead takes the lead in developing an effective medical strategy that supports and augments the Medical Affairs and commercial business product strategy. // He / She leads a therapeutic area or areas (TAs) core team and is responsible for prioritizing medical resources, activities, and deliverables. // The incumbent is responsible for ensuring consistency of processes, standards of practice, tools, and communication methods within the TA to ensure overall success in achievement of goals and objectives within the medical team and the Business Unit (BU). // The Medical Lead acts as the scientific expert in the Therapeutic Area proactively providing training, scientific advice, and strategic input to internal and external stakeholders as well as the scientific community. // The position holder shall drive the localization of the global medical and brand strategy in alignment with cross-functional, local, cluster and regional strategic partners. // The incumbent is accountable for scientifically validating materials and developing and contributing to multichannel campaigns and relevant scientific materials in country and across the cluster. Strategic contribution // Responsible and accountable for driving strategic and functional alignment to execute scientific medical strategy and create solutions to meet customer needs across the cluster // Accountable for driving the medical strategy by translating the global, regional, cluster and local medical plans into implementable TL engagement strategies with cross-functional teams // Responsible and accountable for formulating, developing, and implementing processes and capabilities for MSLs and Medical Advisors that optimize the delivery of scientific services to internal stakeholders and external stakeholders & customers across the cluster // Responsible and accountable for driving a strategic partnership with cross-functional teams across the cluster // Responsible and accountable for using cross-functional knowledge to create medical multichannel campaigns: including content development, multichannel strategy, and the customer journey Data collection, analysis and interpretation // Responsible and accountable for reviewing and interpreting interaction analytics related to TL engagement and appropriate actions i.e. to guide the building of strategic, win-win partnerships between MSLs, Medical Advisors, internal and external stakeholders, and the development of a coherent approach to achieve goals and objectives // Accountable for providing medical support to clinical trial teams on subjects related to interventional clinical trials including feasibility & initiation visits // Accountable and responsible for managing study-related medical activities for Interventional Post-Approval Trials (IPAT), Observational Studies (OS) and Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) as required // Responsible and accountable for keeping abreast with latest scientific research on therapeutic area and competitors // Responsible and accountable for developing strategic perspective and strong understanding of Bayer's commercial, go-to-market strategies and healthcare landscape (includes healthcare systems, competition, healthcare technology, regulations etc) to anticipate business and customer/stakeholder needs and shape plans accordingly // Managing external relationships: Accountable for building of strategic, win-win partnerships between MSLs, Medical Advisors and external stakeholders to drive initiatives / desired outcomes // Medical educational programmes: Accountable for providing scientific contributions to the development and implementation of Bayer organised national, regional, cluster and local medical educational programs (e.g. Continuing Medical Education programs). // Medical queries: Responsible for documenting and processing medical Information queries in alignment with country / cluster Medical Information handling procedures // Material review: Responsible and accountable for scientifically reviewing and approving therapeutic area/product related materials (for in country and / or cluster), external communications (for in country and / or cluster) and advising cross-functionally using medical/scientific expertise. Internal support // Responsible and accountable for providing medical support on internal projects e.g. pre-launch activities, reimbursement processes, dossier development, commercial campaigns etc. // Responsible for aligning with internal functions to review Summary of Product Characteristics responsibilities including translations and updates // Responsible for providing scientific education and training to cross-functional partners across the cluster (e.g. Sales and Marketing) on product data, therapeutic area knowledge, and clinical operations and clinical development studies. // Accountable for fostering strong partnerships across MSL / Medical Advisor territories and with other functions, such as, Marketing/Sales/Market Access, playing the role of ‘trusted advisor' and ‘conductor' to shape and synergise to reach win-win outcomes and drive initiatives/projects effectively // Coaching and developing MSLs / Medical Advisors to become ‘trusted advisors' to HCP/TLs, thereby raising performance and demonstration of PFCI excellence skillset // Leading and driving transformation and change management (in MSL/Medical Advisor teams) in TL engagement models, leveraging digital technologies and platforms // Building and sustaining high performing team climate that is outcome focused, psychologically safe, inclusive, high trust, collaborative and encourages growth mindset and experimentation/innovation // Responsible and accountable for knowing when to lead from the front (model and light the way forward) and the back (coach, mentor and motivate when needed) // Responsible and accountable for strengthening leadership and people management skills (e.g. coaching, feedback giving, leading virtually, etc.) by continuously learning and applying relevant tools, techniques to enhance MSL / Medical Advisor capability, motivation and performance Key Working Relations: Internal // Cluster Medical Director // Therapeutic Area in Global Medical Affairs (GMA) // Medical Affairs colleagues (Country and Cluster Level) // Marketing & Sales organization (Country and Cluster) // Pharmacovigilance // CAO Platform Functions (Procurement, Controlling, Accounting, Legal, Human Resources) // Medical Information; Compliance, Clinical Development and Clinical Operations // Regulatory Affairs // Market Access External // Thought Leaders and investigators in the respective Therapeutic Area // HCPs, Ethic and Regulatory Authorities (Clinical activities; Registration) // Professional Societies related to the respective Therapeutic Area // Payers // Formulary Committees / Strong scientific/ medical background.
