Our client, a specialist medical practice in Paarl, is seeking the assistance of an experienced Medical Receptionist for a 3-4 month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a medical practice.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
- Optimizes patients' satisfaction, Doctors time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone.
- Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying Doctor of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding Doctor of service delays.
- Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
- Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
- Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
- Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; scheduling equipment service and repairs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric
- Proven working experience as a medical receptionist
- Experience in scheduling theatre lists
- Solid understanding of Vericlaim / Med Edi or a similar programme as well as Microsoft Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, able to multi-task, flexible, professional
WORKING HOURS
Mondays Fridays, 08:00 17:00
SALARY
R15 000 R16 000 per month
