Reference: TCT003521-TB-1A Global Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Concern would like to employ a Microbiologist on a contract basis to start immediately. Job Description Microbiologist:Broad Purpose / Function:Developing, Implementing and Maintaining Micro control programs for the laboratory and plant to ensure that all operations meet the requirements of the microbiology control standard.Ensuring operations of Micro laboratory is performed according to corporate methods and policy and adherence to good microbiological practices.Administration of the laboratory quality assuranceEnsuring compliance of the Micro laboratory to health and safety standards and requirements.Ensure routine problem resolution and continuous improvementEnsure accuracy of reporting of data and maintenance of records and interpretation of the data.Ensure timely release of product to the trade.Duties / Responsibilities:Testing Raw materials, Finished product, Environmental, Validation and Product Development and Water samplesTimely Release of finish product to the trade.Conduct and Monitor bioburden/environmental studies Validate, Write and Update test methods and procedures as required.Preparation of Culture Media.Safe Disposal of Media and product waste.Inventory control and Ordering of Micro Laboratory suppliesCollecting, Analysing and Trending of Micro data to assist in managerial decision-making.Participate in Problem-solving and Quality Improvement initiatives.Ensure Compliance to Safety, Health and Environmental standards.Qualifications / Experience / Requirements:SCHOOL: MatricPost School: Professional/Technical/Academic) Degree / National Diploma in Microbiology or Medical Laboratory TechnologyEXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 years working in a microbiological environment.Knowledge of environmental/bioburden testing.Knowledge of preservative efficacy testing.Technical and professional knowledge.High work standards.Computer Skills.Communication Skills and Good .Interpersonal Skills will be beneficial.Skills:Decision-making and Problem-Solving skills:Identifying and understanding issues, problems, and opportunities; comparing data from different sources to draw conclusions.Initiating Action:Taking prompt action to accomplish objectives; taking action to achieve goals beyond what is required; being proactive.Good Verbal and Written communication skills.High Work Standards and High Energy Levels.Setting high standards of performance for self and others assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks.Consistently maintaining high levels of activity or productivity; sustaining long working hours when necessary; operating with vigour, effectiveness, and determination over extended periods of time.Please note only suitable candidates will be contacted for this positionGood Planning and Organizing (Administration) SkillsEstablishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficientlyPlease note only suitable candidates who matches the criteria will be contacted Market related remuneration - Market related remuneration - Hourly plus No benefits Apply Now
