Performing routine, planned and breakdown maintenance on machines Identifying and responding/reporting to potential problems and safety hazards. Ensuring scheduled maintenance plan is adhered to and timeously completed Timeous response to electrical/mechanical breakdowns, quick diagnosis of problems, and quick execution of solutions in order to reduce downtime. Maintaining critical spares for the various machines Ensuring all maintenance work and repairs are in line with the company's standards. Carrying out administrative work associated with plant maintenance, i.e opening and closing work-orders, updating daily logs, etc. Maintain all production machines in 2 plants. Available to attend to breakdowns after hours/ call outs as plants runs 24hr/day Must have experience in injection moulding plastic recycling and pipe extrusion machinery Grade 12 or equivalent qualification Millwright trade papers/ 50% electrical and 50% mechanical Minimum of 10 years experience Stable work record No criminal record Valid drivers licence and reliable transport Own Cellphone Willing to do shift work MUST have strong mechanical and electrical skills, be able to read and understand schematic diagrams/fault finding on equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to understand electrical curcuits and drawings. Must have knowledge of injection moulding and extrusion machinery operation functioning, processess and maintenance. You will have to be active on site, be hands on, mostly unsupervised with tasks of maintenance and repairs, moving and re-installing of new and existing plant, equipment and machinery at operational facility, installation and commissioning of plant and machinery where required. Safety and housekeeping. General maintenance of plant and facilities Planned and preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment in accordance with maintenance plan. Good Knowledge of the following: Pneumatic Parts Hydraulics Presses Dismantling and assembling of pumps V-belt and Pulley alignment Lubrication of machines, compressors and dryers Gearbox dismantling and assembling, valves and actuators Conveyor bells alignment and Splicing's Granulators and blades as well as the manufacturing thereof Cone and Jaw Crusher maintenance Screens Vibrators Plastic wash plants, blowers and heating elements. Bearings and hydraulic power packs Screw and barrel replacement and repairs Dust Extractor Fans Hydraulic and Pneumatic fault finding Mixer Machines Wrapping Machines Bulk Machines Screw Feeders Electrical Fault finding PLC Fault finding Panel wiring and design Servo motors Isolation of Machines and testing ACand DC motor testing, Pumps Wiring Star-Delta and direct online wiring Design and wiring Mould repair and maintenence Mould changing and setting Electrical projects Electronics Instrumentation Electrical Panel modification Variable speed drives Slip ring moto Compressors and airlines Standby generators R160 - R180 per hour with additional overtime, salary will vary depending on experience. no Medical aid or Provident fund
