Job Title: Mine Overseer Location: Northern Cape, South Africa Company: Mining Industry RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Overseer to join their team in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all mining activities and ensuring the safe and efficient production of minerals in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of mining staff, including miners, equipment operators, and shift supervisors Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies Monitor production targets and implement strategies to meet or exceed production goals Conduct regular inspections of the mine to identify any potential hazards or safety risks Develop and implement training programs for staff to ensure they are competent in their roles Maintain accurate records of production and equipment performance Liaise with other departments, such as maintenance and logistics, to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that arise Prepare reports and presentations for senior management as required Essential Requirements: Underground Blasting Certificate Mine Overseers Certificate of Competency 2 - 5 Years Mine Overseer experience. 8 Years Miner and Shift Supervisor experience within an underground mining operation including trackless / board and pillar experience.
