Job Title: Mine Overseer Location: North West, South Africa RPO Recruitment's client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mine Overseer to join their team at a mining operation located in the North West province of South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of underground and surface mining operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all mining activities, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing of ore Plan and implement production schedules to meet operational targets and deadlines Train and supervise mining staff to ensure proper execution of tasks and adherence to safety protocols Monitor and report on production levels, equipment performance, and budget compliance Implement and maintain relevant health, safety, and environmental management systems Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth operation of the mine Requirements: Mining Engineering Degree or B-Tech in Mining or equivalent qualification Blasting Certificate for underground hard rock or equivalent Mine Overseer Certificate Minimum of 10 years` experience at metalliferous mines with 5 years underground mining experience, which must be in a mechanised mining development, including hybrid and mechanised bord and pillar 3 years' underground supervisory experience as an appointed Mine Overseer.
