This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer of Mr D . Purpose of the role: This role focuses on strategizing and executing digital marketing initiatives that increase platform usage, downloads, and partnerships. You will lead efforts to cultivate sponsorships and collaborative ventures, leveraging the platform's capabilities to enhance user experience and maximize revenue. In times of crisis, you collaborate with other departments to manage the situation effectively, ensuring the brand's reputation remains intact. Key responsibilities / accountabilities: Strategic development and commercial growth: Craft and evolve the strategic roadmap (including plans and calendars) for your Focus Area which focuses on platform & brand growth and user engagement & commercial growth. Collaborate with teams to manage budget forecasts and ROI targets. Strategic development and commercial growth: Drive out the execution of loyalty programs to enhance user retention, collaborating with the product development team to integrate loyalty features. Forge partnerships and collaborative initiatives with third parties, including co-branded experiences, to expand platform reach and acquire new users. Identify and manage partnerships & sponsorships that align with the brand's values and strategic goals, developing integrated strategies to boost user experience and brand visibility. Oversee negotiations, budgets, execution, and post-campaign analysis for maximum impact. Tertiary Revenue Management: Devise strategies for identifying and capitalizing on new tertiary revenue streams that complement the core marketplace and grocery business. Analyze market data to uncover opportunities for revenue generation. Forge and oversee contracts to bolster tertiary revenue while ensuring alignment with business goals. Establish and track revenue targets for tertiary channels, ensuring they contribute significantly to overall financial objectives. Oversight of marketing campaigns, team leadership & crisis comms: Ensure all marketing campaigns have clear objectives & success measures and that they ladder up to the marketing plan and business goals. Ensure the Marketing Managers in your team are on track with the delivery of their marketing campaigns and help them alleviate any roadblocks they may encounter. Ensure Campaign reports are completed and be able to interpret these and share with CMO and other Group stakeholders. Monitor your team's performance, providing feedback, and implementing improvements to enhance team efficiency & effectiveness. Setting and maintaining professional standards, practices & templates within your team & ensuring adherence from the team to these. Collaborate on proactive communication strategies for potential crises, ensuring clear messaging that aligns with brand values. You coordinate cross-functional teams (eg: social, PR, influencers) to ensure a cohesive response during a crisis, guiding diverse departments through the crisis management plan. Qualifications and experience: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus A minimum of 5 years experience in digital marketing with a focus on platform growth Skills, knowledge and abilities: A solid understanding of brand research, competitor analysis, success measures and brand surveys.
