Job Title: MR Superintendent Rock EngineerHire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency, are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MR Superintendent Rock Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise in rock mechanics to ensure the safe and efficient extraction of mineral resources. The MR Superintendent Rock Engineer will oversee the design and implementation of ground support systems, conduct rock mass characterization studies, and provide guidance on drilling and blasting techniques.Responsibilities:- Develop and implement ground support systems to ensure the stability of underground excavations- Conduct rock mass characterization studies to assess the geological conditions of the mine site- Provide technical support and guidance on mining methods and equipment selection- Monitor and analyze rock mechanics data to identify potential hazards and risks- Collaborate with mine planning and geology teams to optimize mining operations- Review and evaluate ground control management plans and recommend improvements- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on rock mechanics principles and practices- Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences- Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in rock mechanics technologyRequirements: BSc Hons / BTech (Geology / Mining Engineering) Degree or National DiplomaRock Mechanics Certificate – Open pit with slope stabilityRegistered member of SANIRE6 years’ relevant experience, preferably 2 years’ managerial experience,Also, preferably 2 years as a Rock Engineer in surface mining operationsAdditional qualifications: Modelling Software and A surface blasting certificate would be advantageousAbility to apply problem solving techniquesNumerical ModellingBenefits:Salary: negotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.Salary: negotiable.Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Menina Campher at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: Mininghireresolve.za.com We will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
