Kukhanya Energy Services is a well-established, innovative and growing company providing Energy Solutions to Rural communities in South Africa. We are looking for a dynamic and ambitious National Sales Manager to help grow our retail business stores and agent base. The National Sales Manager will have the responsibility for business development through cultivating strategic partnerships, expanding market penetration, and implementing targeted sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share expansion. This role encompasses strategic and tactical, hands-on responsibilities, such as accelerating growth by improving performance in existing channels and identifying new business opportunities for continued expansion. The successful incumbent MUST be based in Durban. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base. Identify and recruit Sales Agents and regional Agent Managers. Conduct market research, surveys, and other methodologies to comprehensively understand customer needs. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations. Organize road shows to drive brand engagement and loyalty. Prepare detailed sales reports and conduct thorough analysis to inform strategic decision making and report to Senior management. Set annual sales targets/budgets by agent managers and sales agents. Monitor and manage achievement of sales budget with each agent manager. Report all activities directly to the CEO. Business development and growth of customer base. Attend and assist with applicable trade shows as required. Ongoing staff development and continuous product training of sales agents/agent managers. Run outcomes based monthly sales meetings, with targeted objectives in line with the business strategy. Assist the Procurement Manager with stock requirements for each region. Manage expenses within approved budget. Requirements: Demonstrable experience in a sales leadership role, consistentlyachieving or surpassing sales goals. Prior engagement as a sales manager or sales and marketing manager, with a strong preference for experience in the renewable or electrical industry. Exceptional ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at all organizational levels. Proven competency in steering the sales cycle from planning to closure. Solid business acumen and expert knowledge of the industry. Outstanding leadership abilities, with a focus on mentoring and team development. Proficiency in discerning and addressing customer needs within a rural setting. Experience and Qualification: Bachelor's degree in business administration, sales, or a closely related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies in rural/informal environments. Minimum 5years' experience sales management within retail, with a focus on planning, budgets, forecasts and sales reporting. Ability to analyse data and present data in a professional manner. Excellent customer relation skills. Excellent negotiation and presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
