Network Security and Support Engineer - Tzaneen

• Strong focus on network security, be instrumental in designing, implementing, and integrating secure network infrastructures to safeguard critical digital assets
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure data integrity, systems availability and confidentiality of network systems while proactively identifying and mitigating potential cyber threats

• Design, configure, and implement secure network solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and other relevant technologies.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and WiFi networks. provide support helping staff or clients set up systems or resolve issues
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware / or software and WiFi issues
• Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting technical equipment

• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, GDPR) and their impact on network security
• Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems, anti-virus software, and other cyber security tools
• Experience with cloud environments
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g. Python, PowerShell) for automation and security tasks

• BEng in Computer Engineering / BSc Security Network Engineering / BSc Computer Science + (BScHons in Computer Science with Cyber Security) advantegeous
• Minimum of 7+ years experience in IT Network support and Cyber Security Engineering
• Proficiency in both Windows and mac/OS Operating systems
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (including Teams Rooms)
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Understanding and design and/ implementation of Cyber Security Systems to protect Hardware and Software
• Sourcing and Managing Hardware, Software & Networks
• Bi-lingual in Afrikaans & English
• Own reliable transport and valid drivers license
