A vacancy exist at Medipost Pharmacy for a JNR Network Specialist (Systems Administrator), reporting to the IT Manager. This position is based in Gezina, Pretoria. The purpose of the job is to be responsible for maintaining and administering computer networks and related computing environments including server environment. Experience in VMware, Windows, Linux, Hyper-V and SQL. EXPERIENCE: Computer hardware and software systems and desktop applications. Must have sound knowledge of Computer networks, network administration and network installation. Must have an experience in Computer support and troubleshooting. Knowledge of HP networking products. Knowledge of VEEM storage products. Knowledge of VMware virtualization products. Knowledge of Microsoft Core technologies Server and SQL. Experience of Backup and replication hardware and software systems. LICENSING & ACCREDITATION: ITIL Service management Expected Output: LAN and PRTG incidents Ensure all LAN and PRTG toolsets are exploited to maximize pro-active monitoring. VM and Server health Manage incidents logged on VM and servers. Anti-virus Installed on all servers. Anti-virus update server 100% updated and up. (also, in branches) Back-ups Daily backup of all servers and data as agreed by clients. Logged helpdesk incidents Provide trends of all infrastructure incidents DR and BCP Ensure that all DR processes are documented and that N/W resilience is improved. Highlight Risk within the environment Minimum Requirements: Qualification Minimum Grade 12. CompTIA A certification CompTIA N certification CCNA National Diploma IT or Relevant Competencies: Manage local and remote branch IT services including but not limited to: Implementing, maintaining and supporting desktop and mobile computer related hardware Implementing, maintaining and supporting network infrastructure (switches, routers and Firewalls) Implementing, maintaining and supporting desktop PC operating systems and software Implementing, maintaining and supporting server and storage infrastructure Implementing, maintaining and supporting VMware products Implementing, maintaining and supporting Core infrastructure technologies including Windows Servers, Lynx servers and Email server. Provide End Users with hardware, desktop PC software and backend system support Support and maintain VoIP system Liaise with contractors and vendors to design, implement and maintain technology solutions
