An investment company based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is looking for an Accountant to join their team. The company focuses on venture capital investments and is dedicated to creating prosperity for investors and entrepreneurs. As the Accountant , you will be working with a close-knit team that takes pride in their work, works hard, but also makes time to celebrate their victories together. Responsibilities : ● Monthly cash book processing, reconcile accounting transactions for four companies. ● Prepare and maintain interest schedules on a monthly basis for loans advanced to companies and shareholders. ● Reconcile loan accounts with companies on a quarterly basis. ● Assist the team in preparing and sending investor statements. ● Reconciliation of share register to accounts. ● Assist with performing valuations of investments. ● Reconciliation of dividends received from companies. ● Preparation of the working papers support to the AFS for the annual audit. ● Assist with audit queries. ● Assist in preparing the Annual Financial Statements (Full IFRS & IFRS for SME's). ● Preparing the Income Tax Calculation for review before submission. ● Preparing the Provisional Tax Calculation for review before submission. ● Assist with the submission and payment of monthly dividend withholding tax. ● Assist the team with SARS Qualifying Companies (QC). ● Drafting of subscription agreements for investments in new QC's Financial Management. ● Assist in arranging the AGM for Shareholders - take minutes & get minutes signed. Requirements : ● Bcom Accounting Degree or Bcom Management Accounting. ● Bcom Honours Degree in Accounting or Management Accounting (beneficial but not mandatory). ● SAIPA or SAICA articles completed. ● 3 - 4 years of total experience (including articles) ● Experience working on Xero and is highly beneficial. Between R20,000 to R30,000 CTC per month (depending on experience and qualifications) Apply Now
