Non-Destructive Testing Inspector - South Africa
Our client, a well established turnkey engineering solutions company, seeks to employ a well experienced and qualified NDT Inspector, to join their team.
Please note that the successful candidate will be flexible to travel globally, meet the specifications listed below and have a solid background in the energy (oil & gas, renewable energy/power generation), petrochemical and mining sectors.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION
- You will be certified in SNT-TC-1A / ISO9712 Level II MPI + LPI + UTWT, coupled with 3-4 years experience in NDT Testing and inspection specifically in sub-sea drilling equipment and sub-sea mining equipment service inspection
- SAIW Level I/ II welding inspection certification would be highly advantageous
- You will display expert ability to read and interpret technical drawings, procedures, industry specifications and codes, as well as having a solid understanding of specifications, such as AWS D1.1, ASME IX, AMSE B31.3, API
- You will have a proven background in NDE (MT, PT, RT, UT) methods and reports and fabrication process.
- You will have a proven track record in managing and coordinating dimensional, visual, NDT and corrosion protection inspections activities, as well as review project inspection requirements, specifications, procedures and draft inspection QCPs and execute visual, dimensional and non-destructive testing inspections
- Sound working knowledge of using metrology equipment is essential
- You will have expert experience in preparing, updating and following up production documents such as PQRs, WPS and WQR, as well as maintain accurate records in terms of testing, welding and quality.
- You must have a valid drivers licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
- Due to global travel requirements, you will also be fully Covid vaccinated
