Reference: CPT002842-Andre-1 A Well-known Private Hospital in Paarl is looking to offer a 3 month contract to Anaesthetic Enrolled Nurses, which may lead to a permanent position. Full job description Salary: Market Related and very Competitive Benefits: Accommodation is provided or traveling allowance (up to the candidate) The Anaesthetic Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/ or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Anaesthetic Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for assessment and care as well as the needs of patients and will be responsible for assisting the Anaesthetic nurse during operations and keeping the operating room sterile. Experience in anaesthetics for this role would be an advantage . Further Role Breakdown: Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities. Be active in preparing the theatre, and replenishment of stock, consignment and instrument replenishment of the operating room allocated to for a procedure list. Contributes to the holistic care of patients. Maintain the principals of aseptic technique when opening packs and consumables. To help control patient and hospital costs through the correct, safe and economical use of supplies and equipment. Handle equipment, instruments, stock and medication safely and competently. Effective risk prevention and management when assisting Requirements Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification. Enrolled Nurse qualification. Current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC). Minimum of 3 years as an enrolled nurse assistant. Post-Op nursing experience is essential. Floor nurse and Anaesthetic experience essential. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety. Knowledge of Infection Control & Prevention. To demonstrate an understanding of the surgical procedure by anticipating the needs of the multi-disciplinary team members Problem-solving, analysis and judgement Resilience Great verbal & written communication and presentation Customer responsiveness Professional flexibility in working hours while supporting daily business hours.
