As an OHNP, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding the health of our workforce, enabling them to remain active and productive. Your responsibilities will span across various sites of the healthcare group, where you will provide comprehensive Occupational Health and Safety support. Work closely with SHE Managers, HR and Group COID Administrator to coordinate and manage occupationally acquired diseases and/or work-related injuries.
Qualifications & experience:General Nursing Diploma
Diploma in Occupational Health Nursing and registered with SANC
Registered with SASOHN would be advantage
2yrs+ experience in Occupational Health nursing
Excellent understanding of relevant legislations applicable to OHS and Risk Management
Certificates: Audiometry, Spirometry and Dispensing
Computer proficient
Key responsibilities: (not limited to)- Medical surveillance
- Employee wellbeing
- Emergency medical care when needed and managing occupational injuries and diseases
- Revise the Occupational Health programme annually with the OHC Coordinator and HER manager
- Participate in Occupational Health self-assessments, Quality reviews and/or external certification audits
- Review of Site-specific health risk assessments
- Co-ordinate radiation medicals and assist with over exposure incidents
Knowledge & Ability to:- Work well under pressure and to maintain stable work performance in changing conditions
- Develop using collaborative relationships to help accomplish work goals
- Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities in order to take appropriate action / to resolve problems
- Produce work of a high-quality standard by accurately checking processes and tasks
- Set high standards of performance for self and others, assuming the overall responsibility and accountability for the successful completion of tasks.
