Purpose of the Job: The purpose of the tactical officer may include executing dangerous search warrants and arrest warrants for dangerous persons; arresting or neutralizing dangerous or mentally ill armed persons; and intervening in high-risk situations such as shootouts, standoffs, hostage-takings, and terrorist incidents. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: •Comply with the Company Code of Conduct •Project a positive and forceful image for Excellerate services •Be visible and proactive against security threats •Respond to Incidents •Monitor any social media groups and respond as directed •Interact with clients, public and the SAPS as required in a professional manner •Maintain a high level of visibility in the assigned areas of operation •Interact with Senior management and take direction as required MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: •PSIRA Grade A Registered •Code 08 Drivers Licence with a clean driving record •Computer Proficiency •Firearm Competency (Handgun, Shotgun and Rifle) •Tactical Training Certificates •Armed Reaction Certificate is advantageous •Armed Reaction experience is advantageous •CIT or CPO training and experience is advantageous COMPETENCIES: •Excellent verbal and written communication Skills (English) •Ability to perform in accordance with extensive Physical demands of the Site (P.T.) •Good reporting skills, written and verbal •Ability to work independently and in a team •Physically Fit and good health •Excellent firearm handling skills •Excellent customer relations skills
