Hire Resolve's client is currently seeking an experienced Operation Control Centre Engineer to join their team in the Northern Cape. As an Operation Control Centre Engineer, you will play a crucial role in monitoring and controlling the performance of equipment, maintaining and troubleshooting systems, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations. In this role, you will: Oversee the team and operations of the Operations Control Centre, ensuring alignment with the Mine Plan and operational requirements. Analyse and enhance mining, mine planning, and fixed plant processes and systems. Implement essential controls to enhance safety and efficiency in plant/mine operations for optimal production. Contribute to the formulation and interpretation of Short Term Mine Plans (daily, weekly, monthly), ensuring their effective execution. Maximize the efficiency of the Load and Haulage fleet through the utilization of the OCC Fleet Management System. Supervise contractors under Single Point Accountability (SPA) arrangements. Provide support for LEAN principles and drive Continuous Improvement initiatives. Develop streamlined systems to facilitate change initiatives, maintaining simplicity and standardization at the local level. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BTECH, National Diploma) in Mining Engineering. At least 4 years of applicable experience in mining or business improvement, including a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role. Proficiency in operating control centers and familiarity with related systems. Strong problem-solving abilities and technical skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities. Capability to collaborate effectively within a team and liaise with various stakeholders. Understanding of safety and quality standards in the mining industry. Knowledgeable about mine information systems. Proficient in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, SCADA, fleet management systems, and "the visual workplace." Awareness of LEAN principles, RCA/PPS methods, and FMECA methods. Understanding of production planning and management systems.
