Operational Sales Regional Head - Cape Town Region

Reporting to the Executive Sales & Marketing, the successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, managing and executing the strategy for the Region. To expand the Region’s scope of business and services through the development, deployment and management of the products sold in the Region. To increase market share in all channels by focusing on sales, customer service, operational efficiencies to achieve subscriber growth and financial growth within the region. Ensure the smooth running of the region. Responsible for a Region performing more than 2200 installations per month. Key Duties and Responsibilities: • Define and drive the implementation of the growth strategy • Management duties and responsibilities include people management, relationships with partners, local involvement with industry bodies, development and enhancement processes, coordinating the support functions as well as aligning the internal stakeholders to maximise sales growth and retention of the Region. • To build the Tracker brand within the Region and ensuring customer brand awareness. • Positively influence the distribution network to achieve the business objectives through a formulated and effective sales plan. • Build sustainable relationships within the Region, identify and maximize growth opportunities. • Lead the Corporate Sales teams in the region, providing leadership, management of targets, performance management and customer service. • Leadership and development of staff on a national basis. • The ability to analyze the current and future needs of the business and to formulate sales strategies accordingly. Skills experience and Education: • Qualification is Sales: or Operations and /or Business Management (NQF 7). • Post Graduate qualification such as an MBA, MDP or similar management development programme would be advantageous. • Must have eight years’ experience in Sales and Operational management of large and diverse sales team, including the provision of leadership to regional sales managers and their teams. • Must have minimum 5 years Senior Management experience. • Verifiable experience in achieving business growth in terms of sales and long-term profitability. • Experience in vehicle tracking or similar technology will be a distinct advantage. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Strategic, intellectual and analytical abilities. • Consultative style with influencing ability. • High degree of emotional intelligence with strong leadership skills. • Must have a valid driver’s license.
