Dynamic and growing comnpany in the manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced Stores Controller to join their team. The operations Stock Controller will be esponsible for the following key areas: Input all the required processes on SAGE & Syrinx. Data input from stock takes both at head office and in outlying branches. Facilitate minimum stock levels. Manage Day to day management of stores personnel. Verification of material on the BOM is the same as what was issued. Duties: Ensure the stock reflecting on the system is the same as the physical stock in stores. The processing of all relevant inputs on SAGE relating to the issue of material from the stores. The processing of all material received by stores such as GRV stock received. The collation of information recorded obtained from weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual stock counts & investigate discrepancy. Adjusting units of measure on SAGE as the need arises. Processing inputs from stock takes from outlying branches, and the analysis of this information noting variances and escalating these variances as required. Analysing and adjusting optimum stock levels. Placing orders with procurement based on minimum stock levels as determent from time to time. Generating any required reports from SAGE as the need arises. Identifying alternative stock codes and material as the need arises. Processing inputs on SAGE relating to the reconfiguration of rental units. Assisting in the formal quarterly and annual stock counts. The Identification and reduction of obsolete & slow moving material. Capture stock & manage stock in the used material store as required. Run PPV Reports and investigate variances to report back at the weekly PPV meeting. Timeously and accurately processing all inputs relating to the issue and receiving of material from stores. Ensuring the accuracy of stock indicated on the system to stock that is actually in stores. Ensuring stock variations are within an acceptable level for all stock takes. The availability of material required for open jobs. The reduction and disposal of redundant and slow moving stock. Accurately recording the stock in the outlying branches. Matric, positive attitude and proactive in problem solving . A relevant technical tertiary qualification would be an advantage. Technical aptitude, excellent knowledge of construction materials, understand BOM's and technical drawings. Understand the concept of units of measure and able to convert different units of measure as required. Good administrative skills Good team player. Good personal, interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literate. Preferably on SAGE, or alternatively another MRP system. Must be able to work accurately & efficiently. Ability to work under pressure, be flexible while meeting tight deadlines. R 25 000 CTC (inclouding medical aid and provident fund)
