The responsibilities of the Operations Department Manager include delivering exceptional customer service through management of day-to-day operations, ensuring a well maintained, safe, hygienic and secure store environment, and minimize loss and shrinkage through logistic support and enforcement of policies and procedures.
Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
Develop, recruit, retain and lead a competent and motivated store operations team
Co-ordinate and monitor the activities of the coach and implement appropriate performance management for coaches, qualified and trainee staff
Support the implementation of loss and control measures
Support the implementation of stock movement processes (including truck turnaround times, receiving, stockroom processes, dispatching) and maintain information on Stores Inventory Management System
Enforce day-to-day security operations in store to minimise loss
Sustain the store and equipment maintenance processes to ensure availability, functionality and safety
Monitor performance of service providers and give feedback on performance to improve effectiveness of delivery
Control and order consumables and equipment within allocated budget
Maintain health and safety procedures in line with policy
Enforce day-to-day cleaning and hygiene operations to facilitate a hygienic store environment
