Operations Manager - Port Elizabeth

The responsibilities:
Problem-solving
Monitoring inbound and outbound
Staff Management
Administering/monitoring operations expenses including fuel consumption, vehicle service and mileage records, traffic violation fines, cargo and accident claims, freight discrepancies, etc.
Handling inter-branch and customer queries/requirements
Maintaining operations assets including scanners, checking warehouse equipment and ensuring vehicle maintenance (repair and tyre requirements) also orders and maintains tyre repair stock
Drafting operational procedures

Requirements:
Grade 12 (Matric) minimum
Diploma In Road Transportation or working towards such preferred
5 - 8 Years transport or freight operational experience, including 3 years in supervisory capacity
Knowledge of road transportation in South Africa
Basic understanding of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Legislation (BCOE Act)
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, Skills Development and Employment Equity Act Apply Now
