Proven work experience as Operations or Workshop Manager or similar role, managing technical staff preferably in an off highway vehicle drive train company
Financial Management regarding profitability and cost control, budgeting and forecasting
Proven track record of successfully managing cross functional teams
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Sound understanding of business principles
New product / Service development experience
Outstanding organisational skills
Qualification in Operations Management or related field would be advantageous
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Own reliable transport and valid license
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent leadership and communication, motivational and negotiation abilities
Proficient in using ERP systems and other relevant tools, Syspro experience would be a significant advantage
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
Results oriented with a focus on continuous improvement

Duties:
Accountable for achieving production targets, maintaining quality standards and optimizing operational costs to ensure profitability
Responsible for safety and well being of the operations team
Report regularly to senior management on key performance metrics, challenges and proposed solutions
Ensure timelines are met in line with quotations and other sales related functions
Support BEE initiatives
Preparation of accurate monthly management reports
