Operations Manager - South Africa
An experienced Operations/Project Manager with experience in handling Operations and Projects in the Water Treatment industry required for a company in the Witbank area RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for effectively managing Plant Production and Maintenance teams Effectively manage plant staff and resources Constantly monitor the plant and ensure prompt action to ensure plant availability Ensure all quality and operation/control procedures with respect to plant operations are met in full Maintain accurate records and proper administration as required by the various operations Continuously work at improving and optimizing the various processes Ensure adherence to all respective safety standards Effective management of stock Monitor plant records and report on the various processes and projects Attend client meetings and feedback/reports on the plant, processes Compilation of monthly Plant Reports, including feedback to Area Manager Prompt and professional client response, service and feedback Requirements Relevant BSc Chem Eng or B Eng (Chemical) qualification MUST have 3 years’ experience in advanced water treatment Good understanding of plant health and managing water treatment plants Effective trouble shooting experience in the water industry 3 years Management experience in a plant/factory environment Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills Fully computer literate – MS Office suite Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Clients, Suppliers, Contractors as well as staff Solid organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multi-task across various projects, and tasks Market related salary – subject to relevant qualification, experience and track record South African Citizens only
