Operations Manager - Randburg

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to take a hands-on approach in overseeing all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of our premier products, from supply chain management to production planning, quality control, cost control, and continuous improvement. Additionally, the Operations Manager will play a crucial role in team management, health and safety compliance, and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities: Supply Chain Management:Manage the entire supply chain process, including receipt, storage, and timely delivery to customers. Production Planning:Develop and implement production plans to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Quality Control:Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards; address and resolve quality-related issues. Cost Control:Monitor and control production, labor, and inventory costs to ensure profitability. Inventory Management:Optimize working capital and ensure product availability through effective inventory management. Health and Safety:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations; implement best practices to minimize risks. Logistics and Distribution:Manage the logistics and distribution network for timely and efficient product delivery. Customer Service:Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, address customer issues promptly. Team Management:Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance team to achieve operational goals. Continuous Improvement:Analyze operations continually; identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency strategies. Local Procurement Responsibilities: Assume responsibility for local procurement, including vendor selection, negotiation, and management. Ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services, adhering to quality standards. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to streamline the procurement process and contribute to overall operational efficiency. Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.Proven experience in similar role with a track record of successful operations management.Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, logistics, and warehouse operations.Familiarity with health and safety regulations and quality control standards.Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Proficiency in relevant software and IT infrastructure.
