Position: Operations Manager Location: Cape Town Industry: Food Manufacturing RPO Recruitment's client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join their team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food manufacturing, with a proven track record of delivering results and managing a diverse team of employees. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring all production targets are met and quality standards are maintained Manage and lead a team of supervisors, technicians, and production staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase productivity Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, food safety standards, and quality control measures Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and supply chain, to coordinate production schedules and meet customer demands Manage budgetary and financial responsibilities, including controlling production costs, labor expenses, and operational expenditures Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the food manufacturing industry Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team Proven track record of achieving production targets, improving efficiencies, and implementing operational best practices Knowledge of quality control standards, health and safety regulations, and food safety requirements Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
