Hire Resolve is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager in the Logistics industry to join our client's team. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the logistics operations for our clients. This includes planning and coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Manage and optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective logistics strategies. Monitor performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies. Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals. Identify areas for process improvement and implement sustainable solutions. Requirements Grade 12, although a tertiary qualification in Transport/Logistics management will be an advantage At least five years’ operational experience at management level in a road freight company Knowledge of vehicle and equipment technology, specifications & application Working knowledge of all relevant Legislation and Regulations Good verbal and written communication skills Computer literate (Outlook/Excel/Word/Database). Understanding the Company’s management systems, policies and procedures Ability to chair disciplinary hearings, facilitate meetings and conduct interviews Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation management, and warehouse operations. Proven track record of implementing process improvements and achieving operational efficiencies. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
