Duties & Responsibilities Operational Delivery: Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies; Performing risk and value management and cost control; Advising on procurement strategy; Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks; Developing knowledge relevant to contract conditions and their applications; Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts / agreements in current use; Manage all engineering projects (HVAC , Fire , Electrical); Engage suppliers for quotations and negotiate terms of contracts / agreements; Validating of quantities quoted; Ensure works are conducted according to the Scope of works / specification and sign off all works; Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports; Valuing completed work and arranging payments; Preparation and submission of annual capital expenses plan; Monitoring of expenditure against capital expenses plan; Providing advice on contractual claims; Ensure proper handover of documentation to the relevant recipients; Day to day management of the contract administrators; Ensure purchase order process is managed efficiently from the preparation of purchase requisitions to receipt of invoices; Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems; Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work; Prepare Service level agreements for contractors and monitor their performance against the service level agreements; Skills and Competencies Human Resource management and IR skills Effective contractor/third party management skills Negotiating skills Time Management skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Supplier/Sub-Contractor management Hospitality and customer centricity People Management skills Leadership skills Project Management skills Presentation skills Good understanding of SLA’s and Management contracts Adaptability: Maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment. Qualifications Matric – and - Construction and/or Facilities Management Diploma or Degree or equivalent Computer literate on MS Office packages – MS Word, Outlook, Excel Project management degree Professional Project Management Registration (PMP or Prince 2) At least 7 years of experience in Project Management and Construction Management 5 - 10 years practical technical and engineering experience in a Facilities Management or similar environment Candidate must have a strong technical background and have good management and leadership skills Apply Now
