We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to lead and optimize the logistics operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, along with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. As the Operations Manager - Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics process, from procurement to distribution, and ensuring the efficient movement of goods while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. Logistics Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans for the logistics department, focusing on improving processes, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including warehouse supervisors, transportation coordinators, and procurement specialists, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Supply Chain Optimization: Streamline and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process, from procurement of raw materials to distribution of finished products, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory control processes, including accurate tracking, replenishment strategies, and minimizing excess stock, to meet customer demand while controlling costs. Transportation and Distribution: Manage transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and delivery tracking, to ensure on-time and efficient delivery of goods to customers. Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and carriers to ensure reliable and cost-effective logistics solutions. Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the logistics department, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards, minimizing potential risks and liabilities. Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance logistics processes, reduce lead times, and increase overall operational effectiveness. Budget Management: Manage the logistics budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality. Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics,or a related field. Years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a strong track record of driving operational improvements. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing cross-functional teams. In-depth understanding of logistics processes, including procurement, warehousing, transportation, and distribution. Proficiency in using logistics software and tools for route optimization, inventory management, and tracking. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and results-oriented mindset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
