Reference: CPT002541-CDJ-1 Our client based in Cape Town, CBD, is seeking a Operations Supervisor to join their team. Business Unit/Division Management Manage the performance of the Business unit / division Communicate and manage performance requirements Monitor progress and provide sufficient feedback to staff Provide support to the department where required Ensure compliance with relevant legislation Ensure the department complies with all relevant legislation Manage Risks Proactively identify possible risks and ensure timely action to mitigate or reduce said risks Financial Management: Ensure controls are in place Ensure compliance to systems, processes and controls. Customer Services / Relationship Management: Establish and manage relationships with key stakeholder's Maintain relevant key stakeholder relationships Actively collaborate to make all stakeholders ambassadors of the company Attend / address required forums / events Manage client services Handle escalated problems, enquiries and needs in a timely fashion Ensure and manage quality of delivered products and services Maintain excellent client services Ensure competitive products and services Ensure the retention and expansion of market share Establish partnerships with preferred producers, suppliers and buyers Excellent Service Delivery: Deliver client services Handle client enquiries and provide timely feedback for possible solutions Maintain a client-centred approach. Maintain an excellent work quality. Qualifications and Experiences: Matric, National Certificate/ Diploma/ Advanced Certificate / Nated 4- 6 Basic Accounting Diploma International Trade and Transport Diploma Similar position - > 6 years Shipping and maritime industry - > 6 years Proven experience within the clearing and forwarding industry Sense of Self-efficiency Interpersonal sensitivity Excellent people skills Excellent verbal and written communication Skills Ability to build high performance teams Ethical business acumen Please note that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
