Our company is currently recruiting for an experienced Operator CNC Level 2 to join our dynamic team. Main purpose of the job: CNC Operator is responsible for the effective execution of Stacking Materials and Running Parts. They ensure specific directions are followed to create an end product that meets the required specification. As well as execute the Functions and Responsibilities of CNC Operator duties within the Machining division. Operator Tasks Work according to Drawing and Job Card Responsible for all Tooling Allocated to Machine/Room Load and unload raw materials and equipment Select Tooling against Setup plan/Sheet before running Set up Jaws, Mount and Setup Tooling to set a Job Set up Workpiece from Zero Point Know when to use Hard Jaws or Soft Jaws Set Jaw Pressures Machine Jaws to the correct size when setting up a job Read and Understand Engineering Drawings Understand Axis System (2D Lathe) Understand Basic Programming (2D Lathe) Read and understand a program, select and load programs from external devices Know how to run a Graph Understand the functions of the Control Panel, how to run a machine and select a program Change offsets where needed Move the Tailstock when needed Understand and know how to use measuring equipment correctly Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated before use Quality Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated before use Ensure all Tolerances are correct (inspect and measure the finished product to ensure they meet requirements) First off to be sent to CMM for confirmation Job Card to be completed and signed accordingly Intermittent Checks on production will be sent to CMM, Supervisor/QC to Instruct on this Control usage and Condition of tips Report any issues to Supervisor/Chargehand All parts to be Deburred, treated and Tagged All Job Cards and Drawing to be handed in with completed Job Safety Report any Safety Issues to Supervisor/Chargehand General Duties Ensure the work area is clean at all times Ensure that machine is clean at all times Empty the Shavings bin every afternoon Ensure Machine Maintenance check list is completed on a daily basis MATRIC is required, (MATH AND SCIENCE) 10 years experience on similar operation Code 08 Drivers License Understand Axis System (2D Lathe) A Keen Eye for Detail A Mechanical Aptitude The ability to perform mathematical calculations Basic understanding of Computer Programming and CAD/CAM software (optional) Ability to comply with safety guidelines Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills Market Related
