A pump manufacturing, fluid handling, maintenance, and repair services company in the engineering industry is seeking to recruit a highly a skilled Horizontal Boring Mills Operator to join their team. Set up and operate horizontal and vertical boring machines to drill, bore, ream, mill, or countersink metal workpieces to precise specifications. Ensure parts conform to engineering drawings and blueprints. Troubleshoot machine errors and perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition. Minimum 7 years of experience operating horizontal boring mills. Proficiency in operating large lathes, with a maximum swing of 1.5 meters, would be advantageous. Experience in drilling, boring, reaming, milling, and countersinking metal workpieces. Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings. Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometres, height gauges, and verniers. Knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and fixtures for metals. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Certificate or diploma in machine tool technology, mechanical engineering, or related field is a plus. Basic Salary (Negotiable) based on experience and qualifications.
