Location: Polokwane Function: Commerce Sub Function: Commerce - Sales - Other Support Type of Contract: Permanent Reference Number: 105799 Closing Date: 20/03/2024 The purpose of the role is to ensure effective management of all activities in the Distribution Centre Warehouse relating to Customer Deliveries and the completion of all reasonable tasks to ensure operational efficiency. The role also assists and supports Heineken Beverages’ endeavor to become more responsive to our competitors, customers, and consumers. This role is based in Polokwane. Key responsibilities: Operating efficiently: Ensure cost effective warehousing and distribution of company products. Ensure the effective functioning of the following departments: Optimal Transport Management, Customer Deliveries, and Outsource Services. Ensure systems and procedures operate effectively. Ensure effective and outstanding delivery service. Ensure the cost-effective maintenance of company vehicles, material handling equipment and site. Ensure effective co-operation and communication with the local sales department. Ensure stock availability and quality. Maintain a high level of customer service. Ensure Customers receive deliveries within agreed service levels. Ensure strict adherence to Corporate Governance Evaluate and maintain loss control procedures on an on-going basis. Audit adherence: understanding, implementation, and adherence to Internal Control Measures such as ICC’s, ISO requirements, and Operational excellence. Perform administration/reporting effectively. Regular team meetings conducted to understand performance, ensure achievement of short- and long-term objectives. Performance and management reporting - Ensure that all statistical reports are compiled and analysed to monitor costs and efficiencies. Qualification and skills required: A relevant Diploma or Advance National Certificate in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or related Up To 1-2 years’ relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment Proficient in MS Office. SAP, Strato, Qlikview, Success Factors (MyHR), Tableau experience will be advantageous. Experience in a customer service environment is essential. The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills. The ability to work after hours, public holidays and weekends / or shifts if necessary. Knowledge of all relevant legislation. Knowledge of customer service principles and practice.
