Job Description
Your duties will encompass:
- Tracking and manage the inventory of materials and equipment on site, and coordinate with the
site managers and contractors to avoid shortages or delays. - Manage suppliers internationally and handle Import process.
- Review and approve invoices and payments, and resolve any issues or disputes with the
suppliers. - Evaluate and monitor the performance and quality of the suppliers, and provide feedback
and recommendations for improvement. - Keep accurate and updated records of orders, deliveries, payments, and supplier evaluations.
- Follow the companys policies and procedures, and adhere to the health and safety
regulations and standards. - Research and identify potential suppliers of materials, equipment, and services for
construction projects. - Request and compare quotations, specifications, and delivery terms from various suppliers.
- Negotiate contracts and prices with suppliers, ensuring compliance with the project budget
and specifications. - Place orders and confirm delivery dates, quantities, and quality of the purchased items.
- Maintains records of orders, invoices, and payments, and monitors the quality and performance of the suppliers.
Qualifications
- Degree in procurement, supply chain management, engineering, or related field.
Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a purchaser/buyer in construction.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced on Excel.
- Knowledge of the construction materials, equipment, and services market and suppliers.
- Work experience in hospitality and solar procurement is advantageous
- A valid driver's license and own transport.
