Parts Controller - Johannesburg

Matric essential
Certificate / Diploma will be an advantage
Minimum of 4-5 years parts working experience is essential

This position reports to the Head of Parts Business.

Duties:

Discuss with Management regarding new developments and improvements within the parts offerings
Advising teams of parts commonalities between machines maintaining system parameters
Liaising with the relevant factories teams regarding parts
Liaising with all divisions regarding parts technical requirements
Assisting customers (Internal and External) with information and advice regarding the parts and components
Analysis of existing APRs (Additional Parts Requirements/Safety Stock) and incoming requests to establish the validity and necessity thereof
Compile recommended and critical parts list for site and customer specific
Verify recommended parts orders for exchanges by analyzing time frames with system recommendation machine specific
Monitor part CSIs to clear or upgrade parts in stock and submit
Capture lost sales and report on the reasons related to the losses
Compare local vs Internal parts pricing
The Parts Controller is responsible for analysing parts requirements from a technical perspective and making recommendations to ensure we optimise our parts inventory holding and procurement practices.
Analysis of existing inventory and recommended spare parts lists will form part of the role
Maintaining Good Relations with internal stake holders
Supplying a written summary report of sales improvements, opportunities, and challenges on a fortnightly basis to his direct superior, report to include recommendations, projects, initiatives
Exploring opportunities for potential cost savings and discussing possible strategies with his direct superior
Maintaining regular contact with all stake holders to ensure maximum output is achieved in parts supply.
