Pastrie Chef and Cafe Manager - Stellenbosch


Responsibilities:
Baking: Prepare a variety of high-quality baked goods, including artisanal breads, pastries, and associated menu items.
Menu Development: Create and refine a menu that complements our wine, cheese and beer selection and enhances the overall guest experience.
Management: Oversee daily operations of the eatery, including staff management, inventory control, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Requirements:
Proven experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
Experience of artisanal style breads specifically fermented doughs such as sourdough, ciabatta, Neapolitan style pizza, etc.
Experience in managing a small team and running a kitchen or eatery.
Creativity and passion for culinary arts.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
