VACANCY FOR PATIENT SERVICES MANAGER PRIVATE HOSPITAL JOHANNESBURG TEMBISA The patient Services Manager is responsible for the management of the patient services functions at this Hospital. Functions include managing admission activities, authorizations from medical schemes, daily case management, clinical coding billings and credit control. The main purpose of the role is to ensure that the billings is valid, accurate and complete, and the billings of hospital accounts with minimal rejections and non-payment. The role requires sound people management skills, understanding of business process and system and experience in a private hospital environment. DUTIES INCLUDE: Determine and implement the strategy for patient services, the strategy must include measures that support the credit control function, the standardization of process and an effective internal control environment. Ensure that the patient services policy and procedures are updated, monitor compliance levels by hospitals, report non-compliance and implement remedial control. Improve the level of skills and competencies via appropriate performance management measure and recruitment. Provide Line Managers & Exco members reports and feedback on status of patient services within the Hospital. Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with funders/administrators, service providers and other key role players. Manage Case Management, Reception and Billings, patient services, staff ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS INCLUDE: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 Qualification. Degree or equivalent NQF 7 Qualification will be advantageous. Nursing diploma or degree will be an advantage. Business Management qualification will be an advantage Minimum of 10 years experience in the private healthcare industry, specifically in the Patient services / Clinical environment. Minimum of 5 years management experience in a hospital environment. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and medical terminology, CPT/ICD coding, technical and clinical concepts. Understanding of basic financial principles. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced computer literacy & SAP experience. Drivers license and ability to travel to Head office in Johannesburg. SAP Experience preferable.
