Unique Personnel boasts over 50 years (established in 1970) of personnel and staffing experience, so it's not surprising that even though our main focus has been providing on South African Staffing Solutions, we now recruit internationally for over 5000 clients Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor Job Specification (not totally inclusive): Responsible for the preparation and processing of the weekly payroll for approximately 450 employees on the payroll system by weekly deadlines (this includes the entire cycle of payroll processing from capturing of new employees, terminations, overtime, travel reimbursement, salary advances, back pay calculations, bonus payments, leave calculations, pay slips printing and resolving queries.); Payroll review before submission to performance leader; Preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll journals; Weekly, monthly & ad hoc reporting of payroll information (including preparation/distribution of detailed report e.g. travel claims, overtime, leave balances, CTC, headcount and other ad hoc projects) Preparation of monthly 3rd party payments by the relevant deadlines; Completion and distribution of 3rd party payment schedules as per relevant deadlines; Capturing of SARS information of E-filing (e.g. monthly EMP20’1, IRP5’s and tax directives); Liase with 3rd parties regarding payments queries (e.g. provident fund administrators, medical aid etc); Regular interaction/communication with HR and other stakeholders; and Develop and maintain appropriate payroll processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing Minimum Skills required: Relevant Payroll/Finance qualification or equivalent will be advantageous; 3-5 years’ experience of working in a similar role (500 employees) with different contract arrangements in a multi-site environment; Minimum 3 years’ experience of SAGE 300 People system is essential; Computer literate in MS office suit, advanced MS Excel is essential; Must have own car and valid driver’s license is essential Behavioral Competencies required: Must be tact and have able to adhere to confidentiality requirements; Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Ability to communicate effectively at all levels; and Must be able to work after normal working hours as and when required.
