PetroSA Recruits Occupational Health Practitioner - South Africa
Objectives • Provide health care to employees and maintain occupational health systems, programmes and procedures to comply to all legal and regulatory requirements, achieve PetroSA strategic objectives and maintain the good health of employees Outputs • Execute medical procedures and document results according to PetroSA and regulatory requirements to comply with PetroSA policies and legislative requirements • Capture and update information in the Occupational Health Management system across operations sites to comply with legislative requirements and to track medical results • Maintain the Health Surveillance System according to the Department of Mineral Resources (DMR) requirements and standards to ensure compliance with the DMR requirements • Schedule PetroSA employees for risk based medical examinations to ensure the optimal health of employees • Execute designated medical audit checklist tasks such as; ordering and controlling of medicines and oxygen, auditing the emergency trolley equipment, ambulance and trailer and emergency equipment and other reasonable requests to ensure compliance to regulatory requirements and the delivery of an efficient and effective medical services • Provide primary health services (including family planning; preventative healthcare etc) and provide referrals for further medical care where relevant, to maintain a healthy work environment • Report for standby duty and perform all required emergency medical services and administer medication where appropriate, to secure employees in a emergency situation and maintain the good health of employees • Contain expenditure within the budget guidelines to ensure that funds are optimally utilised in service delivery • Provide consultative expertise on chronic and other occupational health diseases and health counselling services, to promote awareness of occupational health in operations E&P Qualifications • National Diploma (NQF 6) in Nursing (General) AND NQF6 Post-Basic • Diploma in Occupational Health • Registered with the South African Nursing Council • Audiometry certificate • Spirometry certificate • Dispensing license Experience • 2 Years work experience as a Junior Occupational Health Practitioner Other • Job Grade : SS 11 How to Apply Click here to apply online
