Pharmacist - Durban North
Dispensing Apply full compliance with regards to Good Pharmacy Practice, when reading, evaluating, compiling and dispensing scripts with legality and authenticity of prescription accuracy and legality. Advise patients on generic substitutions and promotions where appropriate. Liaising directly with doctors and medical aids when necessary. Have the ability to pair supporting medicines/supplements when processing scripts. Strict administration of safe keeping of scripts, keeping up to GPP standards and regulations. Stock Management Monitoring and controlling stock levels for the pharmacy and placing orders with suppliers when required. Buying stock smartly to obtain better buying power/ deals. Temperature control and monitoring of pharmaceuticals. Receive and check incoming stock and ensure quality control. Ensuring proper storage of medicines Ensure that stock take is completed by month end Balancing and regularly updating the Schedule 5, 6 and 7 registers ensuring adherence to standard Operating procedures in accordance with correctly dispensing. Administration Reviewing and analysing dispensary and front shop gross profit reports and dealing with Training and development of staff to ensure productivity and discipline. Expenditure control of finance against the allocated approved funds for Budget. Effective dispensary administration and maintenance of key performance areas. Reviewing Dispensary and front shop gross profit reports. Being responsible for staff meeting their KPIs and sharing any issues with the Directors in a timely manner. Making sure the pharmacy is always ready for inspection.
