POSITION: PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT LOCATION: CHRISTIAAN BARNARD HOSPITAL, CAPE TOWN INDUSTRY: SPECIALIST SURGEON DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Wound care & dressings Prep sterile trays for Dr & central line trays in ICU Follow up calls and appointments with patients Checking up on ward patients Administrative duties like preparing electronic discharge summaries, scribing doctors notes, liaising with medical aids and arranging authorizations, assisting in drafting medical claims for worker's compensation APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS: Enrolled nurse or Enrolled Nursing Auxiliaries Proficient in MS Word and Excel – not negotiable Excellent administrative skills Experience in a medical practice or environment (Medical Practice Manager) Must by physically fit and able (run around hospital, climb stairs etc) Must be willing to work overtime when needed HOURS: Monday – Friday 07:00– 16:00 Saturdays & Sundays – every second weekend (might be required to work few hours in the mornings when Dr is on call) REMUNERATION: Market related salary - negotiable depending on skills and experience STARTING DATE: As soon as possible
