Brief Role DescriptionA Pilot Hall Engineer (Toolroom & Analysis) is responsible to support series production as well as new model introductions during development and pre-series phases with regards to the manufacturing of jigs / fixtures / assembly aids / gauges / prototype parts and templates for the Production environment using workshop machinery & tools.
Possible Tasks within this Role- Create jigs / fixtures / assembly aids / gauges according to measurement & functional requirements for new models and series production.
- Maintain & optimize existing jigs / fixtures / assembly aids / gauges according to measurement & functional requirements.
- Maintain the workshop & store room according to 5S & OHSE standards
- Maintain workshop capacity in terms of assessing & prioritizing incoming jobs
Requirements for this Position- Competent in the use of Workshop machinery (lathe, pedestal drill, milling machine) and relevant machine shop tools
- Experience in the manufacturing of jigs/fixures/assembly aids/gauges and templates for Production environment.
- Knowledge of measuring concepts, reports and equipment application
Required Experience- Minimum of 5 years relevant trade experience within a manufacturing environment or Toolroom
Qualification Requirements- Minimum National Diploma /Degree or NQF Level 6 Mechanical plus Toolmaker Trade

Added Advantage- Experience with virtual analysis tools in a CAD environment
- Specialized knowledge of vehicle assembly processes and vehicle build knowledge.
