Safety Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies. Production Execution of planned production activities. Ensuring targets are achieved. Pre-shift meeting and inspection of work areas. Monitors performance by means of reports, charts, graphs, studies, and visual inspections. Loading, Hauling and Dump Control. Loading areas. Administration. Maintenance Management Ensure Machinery is kept in good working condition. Daily Inspections. Labour Management Ensure compliment is managed in line with budget. Ensure subordinates' KPIs are clearly defined. Overtime management. Leave management Industrial relations. Minimum Requirements National Senior Certificate. Candidates must have a valid driver's license. A Diploma or Degree in Mining or Civil Engineering will be advantageous. Must have an open pit blasting or rock breaking certificate. Competency A, Legal Liability. Minimum of 5 years' experience in an open pit mining environment. Minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience. Must have proven experience with open pit heavy equipment fleet and open pit operations and mechanical inclined. Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication in English. PC Proficient. Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination/ Dover as required from the designated mines. Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor. Must possess basic problem solving, basic self-management. Market Related
