Hire Resolve, a reputable recruitment agency is currently seeking a Planned Maintenance Officer for a mining company in Gauteng. The Planned Maintenance Officer will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating all planned maintenance activities within the mining operation. This includes creating and implementing maintenance schedules, monitoring equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in maintenance planning and extensive knowledge of the mining industry. Responsibilities Safeguard the health and safety of yourself and team members by following applicable standards and procedures during all maintenance planning and activities. Conduct inspections in line with MHSA regulations and company guidelines. Uphold the Zero Harm culture by complying with legislative health, safety, environmental, and security policies, along with specific instructions for task completion in your work area. Ensure all plant and equipment in your area are registered on SAP PM, and schedule maintenance routines for all equipment. Develop maintenance schedules for equipment based on technical specifications and organizational standards. Collaborate within the maintenance-engineering department to secure necessary resources (equipment, personnel, spare parts, and special tools) for optimal timing and duration of maintenance tasks. Monitor equipment failure/maintenance trends continuously and provide feedback to the Unit Manager Engineering, Engineering Overseer, and Engineering Foreman. Requirements Grade 12 Appropriate Trade Test Certificate Minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance planning, in the mining industry. Strong knowledge of maintenance planning principles and techniques. Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
