Hire Resolve's client is a leading food manufacturing company based in the Western Cape, dedicated to the production and distribution of high-quality food products. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a motivated and skilled Planner to join their dynamic team.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a comprehensive production plan that aligns with sales forecasts, raw material availability, and production capacity.Collaborate with sales, marketing, and procurement teams to gather information on customer demands, new product launches, and promotions.Analyze sales trends, production capacities, and historical data to determine appropriate inventory levels, production schedules, and lead times.Monitor and manage raw material inventory levels to ensure availability for production while minimizing waste and maintaining cost efficiency.Coordinate with production teams to schedule and prioritize manufacturing activities, ensuring on-time delivery of finished goods.Continuously monitor and update production plans to adapt to changing demands or constraints, such as equipment downtime or supply chain disruptions.Conduct regular production planning meetings with cross-functional teams to review plans, address issues, and provide updates on production statuses.Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all production activities comply with food safety and quality standards.Identify process improvement opportunities and develop strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations.Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to production planning and food industry operations.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Proven experience as a Planner within the food manufacturing or related industry, preferably in a high-volume production environment.In-depth knowledge of production planning principles, inventory management techniques, demand planning, and supply chain processes.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Proficiency in using planning software and ERP systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Detail-oriented mindset, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of productivity.Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems is a plus.Contact Hire Resolve today for your next career-changing moveOur client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.Apply for this role today, contact Ashley Feldtmann at Hire Resolve or on LinkedInYou can also visit the Hire Resolve website: hireresolve.us or email us your CV: logisticshireresolve.za.comWe will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
