Hire Resolve, a leading recruitment agency, is currently seeking a Plant Superintendent for their client based in the North West. The Plant Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety and quality standards. This includes managing a team of operators, optimizing plant performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities: Manage and optimize plant operations to achieve production targets Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations Implement and maintain effective production planning and scheduling Lead and develop a high-performing team, providing coaching and guidance Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs Provide detailed planning for the area of responsibility in the plant's business plan Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address production issues and optimize performance Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring customer satisfaction Implement health and safety and encourage it to become part of the culture Requirements Grade 12 is essential Diploma or degree in Metallurgy/Chemical is essentials 3 years of experience as a plant foreman 3 years of experience in furnance section 3 years of experience as metallurgist is advantageous Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental regulations Excellent leadership and team management skills Computer literacy is required Managerial, problem solving and budgetary skills Mechanical engineering knowlegde Plant processes to be aware of: milling, floatation, dryer operation, furnances, acid plant and converters Effective communication and interpersonal skills Benefits Salary negotiable Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
