Job Title: Pr Eng IPP Project Developer and ManagerLocation: Johannesburg, South AfricaOur company is seeking a qualified and experienced Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with expertise in Independent Power Producer (IPP) projects to join our team as a Project Developer and Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and management of IPP projects in Johannesburg.Responsibilities:Lead the development of IPP projects from concept stage through to financial close and constructionManage all aspects of project development, including feasibility studies, permitting, grid connection, off-take agreements, financial modeling, and stakeholder engagementWork closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project executionOversee project budget, schedule, and quality controlMonitor project progress and performance, and implement corrective actions as necessaryEnsure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practicesProvide technical expertise and guidance on engineering design, procurement, and construction activitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with key industry players, government agencies, and financial institutionsPrepare project reports, presentations, and proposals for internal and external audiencesQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical EngineeringBTech in Electrical Engineering1 - 3 Years design experience in a work environment.Minimum of 3 years in management positionExperience in RenewablesMicrogrid experience required.Project development experience requiredIPP Project development and Implementation (Added advantage)Must be registered with Engineering Council of South Africa (Pr. Eng).Required Skills and CompetenciesAbility to produce designs using CAD software (AutoCAD and Microgrids).Be able to design solar plants using Helioscope or similar PV design systemsAbility to prepare and manage project budgets and cash flowProduce detailed quotes and BoQ with detailFamiliar with Eskom standards and processesExperience in HV, MV and LV installationsStrong negotiating skillsProcure equipmentManage implementation of small and utility-scale projectsAbility to develop Utility Scale projectsKnowledge of South African Engineering standardsMust understand the OHS Act.Strong leadership skills.Must have own vehicle and driver’s license.Willing to travelWilling to be away from home for extended periods of time for projects.Good problem-solving skills.
